Cloudmaker

'Cloudmaker' is a fictional picture book that encourages imagination and discussions amongst young readers about friendship, change, purpose and creation.

Long ago, an ancestral being named Cloudmaker was busy preparing for the creation of worlds. Cloudmaker loved making clouds but he grew sad as he realised that he had made all the clouds that were needed.

His lightness of being became heavier and he sank to the Earth. Here the birds lifted his spirits and he floated up, joining his favourite cloud and friend Cirra. He cried tears of sadness and joy. A tear landed on the tip of his wing and he created a rainbow that encircled the whole of Earth.  

Beautifully imaginative, 'Cloudmaker' is enriched by Milroy’s deep connection to Country and nature.
